About the role
As a Host/Hostess at Conrad Athens The Ilisian, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional first impressions for our guests. You will be the face of our restaurant, welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner while efficiently managing the seating process. Your ability to balance hospitality with operational efficiency will ensure that each guest has a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities

Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival, ensuring a gracious and memorable first impression.

Manage seating assignments, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently to optimize dining room operations and guest satisfaction.
•
Assist with reservations, special requests, and personalized arrangements, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the restaurant’s offerings and capabilities.
•
Liaise seamlessly with service and culinary teams to ensure accurate order delivery and a smooth, coordinated dining experience.
•
Present menus and communicate daily specials with clarity and enthusiasm, offering thoughtful food and beverage pairing recommendations.
•
Proactively monitor guest movement and table turnover to minimize wait times while upholding service excellence.
•
Maintain an immaculate and organized front-of-house environment that reflects the luxury and elegance of the Conrad brand.
•
Address guest inquiries, comments, and concerns with professionalism and discretion, ensuring timely resolution and overall satisfaction.
Requirements
•
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Host/Hostess within a luxury restaurant or hotel.
•
Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
•
Excellent communication skills in both English and Greek; additional language skills are a plus.
•
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
•
Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems is an advantage.
•
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and excellence in service.
•
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant’s operating hours.
