About the role
Individuals will be responsible for installation of underground gas mains and services. This job entails physically demanding work including nearly continuous standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping throughout the entire shift. Responsibilities will include working in a crew of 2-3 individuals.
Position Description:
Individuals will install various sizes and types of gas piping and operate various types of pavements breaking and road cutting equipment; and operate a backhoe and dump truck. This position entails travel. Individuals may be required to travel to different parts of the state outside of their home base, depending upon the business need.
Starting Rate of Pay:$32.26 per hour
Principal Duties:
· Operate various types of pavements breaking and road cutting equipment

· Perform drilling and tapping various sizes and types of gas mains.

In addition, individuals must be able to move and lift material weighing up to 60 lbs. The selected candidate will be exposed to environmental elements e.g., extreme heat, cold, etc., possible exposure to confined spaces, solvents, cutting oils, epoxies, flammable gases, and nuisance dusts. Floor-to-knuckle lifting will play a major role in this position.
