Job Summary:
Geisinger’s Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist to join our team.
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible and be able to provide a full spectrum of general Pediatric Cardiology care. Special interests or skills are welcome.
Join an experienced team including Cardiologists, Surgeons, Intensivists, Neonatologists, and support staff performing imaging, surgeries, and interventional cardiac catheterizations. The pediatric Cardiology program is well established and vibrant.
This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist who is passionate about clinical academic medicine in a teaching environment. Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH), located on the Geisinger Medical Center campus in Danville, is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children’s hospital with full-service hospitalist and intensive care services. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41 bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU.
Our children’s hospital provides exemplary care for the children of central and northeast Pennsylvania. We have achieved top decile outcomes as measured by national collaboratives in pediatric critical care, pediatric trauma care, and neonatal care. Our Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Cystic Fibrosis programs have been awarded national recognition.
In addition to our Danville campus, Geisinger Wyoming Valley, in nearby Wilkes-Barre provides general pediatric care and neonatal intensive care services in a 14 bed Level III NICU.
