It requires solid problem-solving ability, attention to quality, clear communication of progress and issues, and a willingness to learn and apply engineering best practices. The role contributes within established design and architectural direction, with less ownership and strategic influence than a Senior Software Developer.
The role typically requires experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Hibernate, and SOAP/REST APIs, along with exposure to web technologies, testing practices, agile delivery, and modern development tools. Payment industry experience and familiarity with DevOps, cloud, and automation tooling are beneficial.
