About the role
Specialist Teacher Consultant
Are you an experienced education professional with a passion for inclusion, school improvement and supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential?
We’re looking for a Specialist Teacher Consultant to join Entrust’s Education Improvement Services team based in Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work with schools, academies and educational settings across the region, providing specialist advice, support and challenge in the areas of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Cognition and Learning, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Working as part of a highly regarded team of school improvement professionals, you’ll support schools to evaluate and strengthen their provision, helping to improve outcomes for children and young people, particularly those requiring additional support. You’ll also undertake individual pupil assessments and provide specialist guidance for learners with SEND, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
This is a field-based role working across Staffordshire and, where required, surrounding counties, so a full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.

Drawing on your specialist knowledge and practical experience, you’ll provide advice, challenge and guidance across a range of SEND, SEMH and inclusion-related areas.
A key part of the role will involve undertaking assessments, evaluating existing provision and helping educational settings develop effective and sustainable approaches to inclusion. You’ll also support workforce development through training, coaching and professional advice, ensuring school staff have the knowledge and confidence to meet the needs of all learners.
Working collaboratively with schools, local authorities and external agencies, you’ll champion best practice, support compliance with statutory requirements and help create learning environments where every child can thrive.
