About the role
Every piece of RVT equipment that goes back out to a client site starts its journey in goods-in. When kit comes back from construction and industrial sites, you’ll be the person who checks it in, cleans it down and makes sure our workshop team receives it in a safe, ready-to-work condition. It’s a hands-on role that keeps our yard, wash bay and workshop clean, safe and running smoothly.
What you’ll do
•
Receive and book in equipment returning from client sites, checking it against delivery paperwork and our system
•
Inspect every item for damage, knocks, nicks and missing parts; photograph, tag and record what you find so the workshop knows exactly what needs attention
•
Decontaminate and pressure-wash returned kit, removing dust, concrete and slurry
•
Follow our asbestos, COSHH and decontamination procedures, wearing the correct PPE and RPE every time
•
Hand clean equipment over to the workshop team with clear notes
•
Move equipment safely around the yard and warehouse (forklift training provided)
•
Keep the wash bay, goods-in area and yard clean, tidy and hazard-free
•
Load and unload vehicles and support wider yard duties when needed
•
Report any safety hazards, near misses or maintenance issues straight away
