About the role
Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring materials are moved/transported throughout the facility as necessary.
Responsibilities:
•
Move product as directed using pallet jacks, forklifts or other means.
•
Reading/reviews work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved, counted, weighed, put away and recorded.
•
Safely opens containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer or other hand tools.
•
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
•
Cleans work area, machines and equipment, using broom, rags and other products.
•
Updates database records as required; participate in all department and company training sessions and meetings.
•
Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.
•
Collaborates with cross-functional partners within facility.
•
Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
•
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
•
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
•
Must be willing to work in cold temperatures ranging from 20 to 36 degrees.
•
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•
Assist in stocking and on assembly line on a regular basis, lifting to 90lbs with assistance

Experience and Education: Applicants must show six (6) months of forklift experience at one employer in the past 36 months. Applicants will be required to earn forklift certification within 8 weeks of hire to perform essential job functions.
