Candidates need at least 6–8 years of hands-on administration and development experience on MuleSoft, Azure API Management, or both with at least 10+ years of IT experience. Strong experience on one platform plus working knowledge of the other is acceptable.
MuleSoft Hands-on experience with Anypoint Platform: runtime admin (CloudHub, RTF or on-prem), API Manager, Exchange, Mule 4 development, DataWeave, RAML/OAS Azure API Management
Hands-on experience building and running APIM in production: policies,
products, VNet modes, self-hosted gateway, developer portal
Azure Strong working knowledge of Entra ID, Key Vault, VNets, Private Link, App
Gateway/Front Door, Azure Monitor, RBAC; Functions, Logic Apps and
Service Bus a plus Linux Hands-on RHEL/Ubuntu admin: systemd, file systems, permissions, package management, log analysis, Bash scripting Networking
Solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS/mTLS and certificates, load
balancing, firewalls, proxies, NAT and hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute)
Infrastructure Understands compute, storage, HA/DR design, containers and Kubernetes (AKS) basics, and capacity planning API security OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT validation, API keys, OWASP API Security Top 10
Automation CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; IaC with Bicep, ARM or Terraform; scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python Operations ITIL-style incident, problem and change management; on-call experience
with production platforms
The candidate must also be able to explain technical trade-offs clearly to architects, developers, security teams and business partners.
