About the role
Due to continued expansion we require a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with a strong background in electrical safety and high-voltage systems. We’re seeking a skilled professional to take ownership of electrical safety, switching operations, and permit-to-work activities across critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
•
Act as the designated Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for HV/LV electrical systems.
•
Manage and oversee electrical switching operations and system isolations.
•
Issue and control Permit-to-Work documentation.
•
Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules, procedures, and industry regulations.
•
Authorise safe access to electrical installations and substations.
•
Conduct risk assessments and support incident investigations where required.
•
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to operational teams.
•
Support planned maintenance, commissioning, and emergency response activities.

•
Proven experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
✔ Strong knowledge of High Voltage (HV) electrical distribution systems.
✔ Experience managing permits, switching schedules, and safety procedures.
✔ Excellent understanding of electrical regulations and best practices.
✔ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
✔ Relevant electrical qualifications and SAP authorisation.
