About the role
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President Java Engineer to join our payments enablement team. This role is located in Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
•
Own the design, development, deployment, and production support of mission-critical backend services for financial products.
•
Write clean, tested, production-grade Java code and set the standard for unit testing, integration testing, code coverage, and static analysis.
•
Lead architecture decisions for new services and refactors, with clear documentation of trade-offs and non-functional requirements including latency, throughput, resiliency, and failover.
•
Drive production readiness through observability, alerting, on-call support, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes over patches.
•
Git & delivery: Trunk-based or GitFlow discipline, small reviewable MRs, meaningful commits, automated pipelines with no manual gates.
•

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
