Job Description
There is a position available for a Production Assembler with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark, CA. This is a full-time position.
General Summary:
This position will report to the Shop Floor Supervisor and will be responsible for various work assignments throughout the production area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Performs manual/mechanized assembly operations.
•
Responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
•
Process specifications using hand tools, machinery, air presses, jigs and other equipment and tooling.
•
Must be able to follow work instructions.
•
Performs other operations such as loading and unloading components into tooling and powders into cups to press.
Job Specifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent required.
•
Must demonstrate ability to setup and monitor equipment through written and verbal instructions.
•
Minimum 2 years manufacturing related experience with ability to use and read accurately various measuring instruments.
•
Ability to perform fine mechanical assembly including resistance welding, light machining and electrical testing
•
Certified soldering skills per J-STD/NASA a plus.
•
Defense and Aerospace Industry experience including working knowledge of company product lines a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Appropriate safety equipment as required by area. Some of the test and manufacturing areas include exposure to noise and may require hearing protection. Safety training in the handling of pyrotechnic materials is required. The physical activities of this position include work lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, coordinating, talking and hearing. The physical demands and the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Compensation:
Hourly Range: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
