About the role
Saalex is seeking a Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator in Ridgecrest, CA to support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise network and computing environments. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise in routing, switching, network security, wireless technologies, systems administration, cybersecurity compliance, and infrastructure modernization efforts supporting mission-critical operations.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80k-$100k annually (depending upon experience)
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
•
Design, configure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network and computer systems.
•
Support WAN, BAN, LAN, and wireless (Wi-Fi) infrastructure.
•
Administer routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices.
•
Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and implement security controls.
•
Perform system hardening, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, patching, firmware updates, and infrastructure upgrades.
•
Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration baselines.
•
Support cybersecurity compliance requirements and coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and customers.
•
Other duties as assigned or required.
