AlixPartners is a global consulting firm that offers litigation, arbitration, and economic consulting services. AlixPartners’ economic consulting services relate to antitrust, commercial and regulatory investigations, including mergers, litigation and damage calculations.
About the role
AlixPartners’ Tokyo office is looking for a Japanese-and-English-speaking PhD/Master economist who is keen to apply economic analysis to real-world cases that are high-profile and can have a significant impact on broad business and economic activities in Japan and all over the world. The focus of the work will be in Japan but there will also be opportunities to work on European and US matters.

As an Economics Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for supporting:

Performing economic and industry research and analyzing client materials to develop a good understanding of the nature and issues of a case
•
Communicating with clients to obtain required data and information to be used for economic analysis
•
Performing data analysis, statistical modelling, and regression analysis using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS
•
Writing reports for clients and their legal advisors, competition authorities, and courts, including concisely identifying and assessing the key issues, summarizing data, approaches, and results of your analysis, and assisting team members in interpreting the results in the context of the economic and/or commercial issues at stake
