Our client is a fast-growing, highly technical CFO and controllership services firm serving the trades industry. With a strong remote team in the Philippines and US, they deliver deeply embedded, practitioner-style advisory services for their clients. About the Role
We are looking for a people-focused Operations Manager who combines strong operational expertise with a strategic, data-driven mindset. The ideal candidate is passionate about optimizing performance, building high-performing teams, and fostering a warm, growth-oriented culture.
You will work with our client, an offshore accounting company supporting painting and construction businesses. In this role, you will oversee business operations, drive efficiency and service quality, and identify opportunities to improve processes and performance.
As a key people leader, you will act as a mentor, advocate, and developer of the team, particularly the Philippine-based staff. You will help ensure teams are aligned with company values, processes, performance expectations, and client commitments while supporting employee engagement and long-term growth.
We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, and highly skilled in written and verbal English communication. This is a fully remote role within a rapidly scaling Finance and Technology company.
Responsibilities
•
Lead and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflows, strong service delivery, and alignment across teams.
•
Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and systems that improve productivity, scalability, and overall performance.
•
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to translate company goals into actionable plans for business growth, team development, and continuous improvement.
•
Lead, coach, and develop managers and senior staff, with a strong focus on culture, employee growth, engagement, and retention.
•
Serve as the primary advocate for the Philippine team, ensuring clear communication, strong support, and alignment with company values and client commitments.
•
Monitor KPIs and operational performance, using data and insights to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize resources.
•
Oversee operational workflows and ensure effective use of systems such as ClickUp to manage tasks, team performance, and client deliverables.
•
Support change management by introducing new processes and technologies while helping teams adapt with clarity and confidence.
•
Identify and develop emerging talent, creating clear pathways for career growth and future leadership.
•
Ensure client expectations are consistently met while balancing business performance with employee wellbeing and engagement.
•
Collaborate with HR on employee coaching, performance management, and escalated employee matters.
•
Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices to continuously strengthen operations and support the company’s growth.
Competencies and Qualifications
•
5-8 years of experience in operations leadership, ideally within an offshoring, outsourcing, accounting, or technical services environment.
•
Proven experience leading, developing, and scaling remote teams, including managers and senior-level staff.
•
Strong understanding of team dynamics, employee development, culture-building, and retention in a remote environment.
•
Demonstrated experience in operational strategy, change management, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
•
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and use data to drive decisions.
•
High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate sensitive employee situations with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
•
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across US and Philippine teams.
•
Experience working with global or US–Philippine teams, including comfort with PST working hours and cross-cultural collaboration.
•
Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project and task management platforms preferred.
•
Experience in a boutique, startup, or fast-growing environment, with the ability to build scalable processes without relying on corporate bureaucracy.
•
Adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and results matter.
