About the role
Heidelberg Materials is chasing a reliable, hands-on operator to join the crew at our Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries.
About the Role:
•
The position is full-time with overtime as required based in Rockhampton.
•
The successful applicant must be able to work both independent and part of the sand production operation team.
You’ll be on the tools operating:
•
Sand Dredgers
•
Front end loaders
•
Fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants
•
Excavators
•
Other general quarry gear
Background and Experience required:
•
Front End Loader ticket
•
Excavator ticket
•
Dredge operations including monitoring operational efficiencies to maximize and achieve daily production targets
•
Experience with mobile and fixed plant pre-starts, fault finding and basic maintenance
•
Solid safety mindset and ability to spot hazards
•
Good communication skills and willingness to speak up in site meetings
•
HR truck licence (highly regarded, but not essential)
•
Forklift ticket (highly regarded, but not essential)
