About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Summer Intern to join the CIBC Core Growth Team in Boston. This 10-week experience (June-August) is a unique opportunity to work directly with the team’s Portfolio Manager and four analysts, gaining hands-on exposure to fundamental equity research within a collaborative, high-performing investment environment.
Over the course of the internship, you will be immersed in the team’s internal 7- Step Investment Process and apply it to the analysis of U.S. equities. You will support the team in evaluating businesses through deep fundamental research, including competitive positioning, growth drivers, industry structure, financial analysis, valuation, risks, and other key investment considerations.
As part of the internship, you will be expected to launch coverage on two assigned companies and present each investment idea to the team during the summer. This role is designed to provide meaningful exposure to the research process, strengthen your investment judgment, and develop your presentation and communication skills in a professional buy-side setting.
This is an in-person role based in the Boston office five days per week.
