The School of Jazz and Contemporary Musicat The New School’s College of Performing Arts is seeking highly qualified Overhire Jazz A2 to join its team. Reporting to the Part Time Operations Manager, the Overhire Jazz A2 is responsible for supporting the Audio and Video needs of academic performances and partnership events within the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
The Overhire Jazz A2 provides crucial support in the successful execution of concerts, panel discussions, and festivals at the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. This position is responsible for assisting with setup, operation, and breakdown of audio systems, as well as serving as a key crew member during events. The Overhire Jazz A2 works under the direction of the Overhire Jazz A1 and reports to the Part-Time Operations Manager, School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Formed in 2015, the College of Performing Arts draws together the Mannes School of Music, the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, and the School of Drama. College of Performing Arts students are actors, musicians, performers, writers, improvisers, creative technologists, entrepreneurs, composers, arts managers, and multidisciplinary artists.
