Job Description:
About the company
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we’ve tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.
We’re looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that’s you and you’re ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.
About the Role:
Organic social is a key place the Remitly brand shows up, connecting us with customers and communities in their own languages, every day.
As Content Manager – Organic Social, you’ll be the hands-on creator behind that work. Partnering with the Senior Manager, Content Strategy – Organic Social, you’ll turn strategy into scroll-stopping content: concepting ideas, writing copy, designing social assets, shooting and editing video, and publishing across channels. You’re a storyteller and a maker who can take an idea from brief to final cut.
What you’ll do:
•
Create content end to end. Concept, write, design and edit posts, carousels, Reels, TikToks, Stories and short-form video, from first idea to published post.
•
Design social assets. Build static and light motion graphics using brand templates, and create new templates as the content needs.
•
Write content. Write captions, scripts, on-screen text and carousel copy in the brand voice, tailored to each platform.
•
Shoot and edit video. Capture and edit short-form video, including captions, sound, motion graphics and platform-specific cuts.
•
Produce series and formats. Bring recurring series (product features, customer FAQs, how-to tutorials) to life and keep them fresh.
•
Work with creators and UGC. Edit and package creator and ambassador content, and give clear creative feedback.
•
Adapt for markets. Version content for different languages and markets with regional partners, so it feels local rather than translated.
•
Publish and manage the calendar. Schedule and publish content, keep the editorial calendar current and stay on top of trends and platform features.
•
Learn from results. Track how content performs, share what’s working and use those insights to improve the next round.
•
Keep it on-brand and compliant. Apply brand guidelines and work with Legal and Compliance on claims and disclaimers.
What you’ll bring:
•
4+ years creating social content for a brand or agency, with a portfolio that shows both design and video work
•
Strong graphic design skills for social, including layout, typography and light motion
•
Hands-on video skills: shooting on phone or camera, editing, captioning, sound and color
•
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma and CapCut or similar tools
•
A sharp eye for platform trends and native formats on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
•
Strong writing skills for social: captions, scripts, carousel copy and on-screen text, with writing samples to share
•
Comfort managing several projects at once and hitting publishing deadlines
•
Experience using performance data to improve content
