About the role
Playtech Sports unit is looking for a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Database Services team. The role requires a highly skilled DBA with strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability solutions, database patching, capacity planning, and production support. The ideal candidate will have experience working in large-scale, high-volume enterprise environments and will be comfortable collaborating with development, infrastructure, and application support teams.
Job Description
Your influential mission. You will…
•
Monitor database health, performance, and availability by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in complex production environments while ensuring business continuity requirements are met.
•
Perform regular health checks and vulnerability assessments while performing proactive capacity planning and database optimization activities.
•
Ensure database security standards and best practices are implemented and maintained.
•
Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and platform refreshes.
•
Diagnose and resolve critical production incidents within agreed SLAs.
•
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, PL/SQL, or similar technologies.
•
Improve operational efficiency through automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Qualifications
