About the company

Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive. The school has prepared over 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students for future generations.
About the role
Milton Hershey School is seeking a service-oriented and detail-focused Part-time Library Resource Center Assistant (LRCA) to help create a welcoming, engaging, and resource-rich learning environment for high school students and staff. This position combines library services, collection management, curriculum support, and student engagement to ensure resources are accessible, organized, and aligned with academic needs. Through daily interactions with students and staff, the LRCA helps foster a culture of reading, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include managing circulation services, supporting classroom instruction and research initiatives, maintaining library collections and databases, coordinating interlibrary loans, and supervising student workers. By connecting students with the information and resources they need to succeed, the LRCA contributes directly to student achievement and the mission of MHS.
This is an on-site, year-round position working up to 29 hours a week, Monday - Friday during school hours. The role compensates an hourly rate between $22.91 to $30.59, depending upon years of experience. The LRCA plays a vital role in supporting student learning, literacy, and research.
