IMEG, formerly Hayner/Swanson, Inc., is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer in Nashua, NH to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex projects. This role provides project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients to support positive outcomes.
You will manage project budgets, mentor and train staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. The team supports municipal and environmental markets while delivering resilient, environmentally responsible infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
•
Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects ranging in size and complexity.
•
Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposal generation, and contract reviews.
•
Create project schedules with milestone targets and deadlines.
•
Serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.
•
Create monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages.
•
Ensure designs follow owner, code, and quality control requirements and that milestone deliverables and construction technical support are completed in a timely manner.
•
Collaborate with design staff, coordinate project scheduling, and lead progress meetings with documentation.
•
Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested.
•
Respond to and resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain appropriate approvals.
•
Mentor, train, motivate, and lead others while building and developing client relationships.

Required Education

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
•
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
Experience
•
7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry

Site development for healthcare, residential, and commercial clients including National Grid.
•
ALTA, due diligence, and permitting across a broad market mix.
•
Recent work includes Nashua 2025 Sewer Rehabilitation, Government; Southern NH Medical Center Parking, Healthcare; and Concord MA Paving & Safety, Transportation.
