About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled SSIS / SQL Developer with proven expertise in data migration, particularly in migrating large-scale enterprise data from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), writing complex T-SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Design, develop, and maintain robust SSIS packages for ETL workflows, data transformation, and automated data loads.
•
Analyze Oracle database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and packages and re-engineer them in T-SQL for SQL Server compatibility.
•
Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions to support business logic and reporting requirements.
•
Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness during migration.
•
Collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
•
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning of ETL pipelines and SQL scripts.
•
Document migration strategies, data mapping specifications, ETL workflows, and technical runbooks.
•
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL job failures, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks in production and staging environments.
•
Optimize SQL queries and SSIS packages for performance using indexing strategies, query plans, and execution profiling.
•
Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the migration process.
•
Provide post-migration support, including issue resolution and performance monitoring.

Core Technical Skills
•
