About the role
Specialist, IT Asset Administration (SAM)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to join our global team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end software lifecycle, including administration, procurement, tracking, and compliance. You will work closely with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support software operations, financial processes, and governance.
Responsibilities:
•
Manage Software Asset Management requests and incidents within ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
•
Maintain accurate software asset, license, entitlement, contract, subscription, and procurement records.
•
Support the end-to-end software lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, utilization, renewal, reclamation, and retirement activities.
•
Coordinate software purchasing, vendor quotations, renewals, and contract administration activities.
•
Create and manage purchase requisitions and support procurement processes in accordance with business requirements.
•
Process goods receipts, purchase order updates, cancellations, and related procurement transactions.
•
Perform invoice reconciliation and validation against purchase orders, contracts, software entitlements, and vendor agreements.
•
Investigate and resolve procurement, billing, licensing, pricing, and payment discrepancies.
•
Configure and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro to support software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and license management.
•
Monitor software licensing utilization, identify compliance risks, and support optimization opportunities through license reclamation and cost management initiatives.
•
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, operational metrics, and audit-ready records to support Software Asset Management governance.
•
Support software compliance reviews, internal audits, vendor audits, and audit-readiness activities.
•
Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to improve software asset management processes, data quality, and workflow automation initiatives.
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related discipline.
•
5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or related technology asset-management functions.
•
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and Contract Management.
•

•
