We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team in our Brandon Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician in Oncology, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pets undergoing treatment for cancer.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
•
Handle and restrain pets during procedures and treatments
•
Administer sedation and induce anesthesia
•
Monitor sedated and anesthetized patients
•
Prepare, calculate and administer medications as prescribed
•
Monitor patients and document their vital signs and response to treatment
•
Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as imaging studies and laboratory work
•
Maintain and update patient records
•
Provide compassionate care and support to pets and their owners
•
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Oncology department
Requirements
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
