Summary:
We are seeking Equipment Maintenance Technicians at all experience levels to maintain, install, and improve semiconductor processing equipment used in MEMS fabrication. Candidates with a solid electromechanical foundation are encouraged to apply, including those new to semiconductor equipment maintenance. Experience across semiconductor tools and process areas is an advantage. This role supports Atomica’s 24/7 cleanroom operations and requires adaptability across tools in the fab and willingness to work day, second, third, or fourth shift depending on the open position.
Objectives:
•
Diagnose and repair semiconductor equipment to maximize uptime and reliability, reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), and improve mean time between failures (MTBF)
•
Perform and refine preventive maintenance procedures with engineering support
•
Use technical schematics and develop or improve preventive maintenance documentation
•
Assist with installation and qualification of new equipment
•
Contribute to equipment specification, selection, cost control, and continuous improvement efforts
•
Reduce tool downtime and help improve fab throughput through consistent maintenance and recovery support
•
Work closely with the Equipment Maintenance Manager, operations shift managers or supervisors, fab technicians, and facilities technicians
Capabilities:
•
Minimum: Good foundational knowledge of electromechanical equipment, including a basic understanding of several of the following: electrical systems, pneumatics, robotics, vacuum systems, plasma systems, fluidic systems, lasers, and optics
•
Preferred: Two or more years of semiconductor equipment experience in deposition, dry etch, wet etch, photolithography, or back-end processing. Knowledge across multiple process areas is an advantage
•
Highly preferred: More than three years of experience with any of the following or similar tools: Endura E5500 PVD, SPTS DRIE Rapier, Plasmatherm Versaline PECVD or ICP etching tools, Veeco IBD and IBE, Nikon steppers, SVG or TEL coaters, wet benches, or ADT dicers
•
Knowledge of silicon wafer processing is a plus

Compensation:
Semiconductor Equipment Technician
$28-$60 per hour
•
Minimum qualifications / no experience: $28-$35 per hour
•
Preferred qualifications: $36-$45 per hour
•
Highly preferred qualifications: $46-$60 per hour
Bonus: Current Atomica bonus plan
