As our Procurement Manager (Chemicals, Materials and Process Plant) you’ll be working closely with the Commercial Procurement Leadership Team and across the wider business in the development and delivery of Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy. We have ambitious plans for significant investments in our region. Your role will be to ensure our sourcing and category management delivers effective supplier performance across over £200m of critical operational goods and services per annum.

You’ll use insight, judgement and collaboration to identify opportunities to reduce risk, improve value and strengthen supplier performance across Anglian Water. You’ll also lead and support a team in developing category plans, sourcing strategies, contractual negotiations and cost controls, ensuring our internal customers receive the goods, services and support they need.
Responsibilities
You’ll need to work within Anglian Water’s own processes and controls as well as The Procurement Act 2023, ensuring compliance and driving good practice in sourcing and contract management. A key part of this role is to ensure Framework Management processes are implemented and effective so that value from sourcing is delivered into the P&L.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting the best from people. You may already have experience of managing and developing a team, or you may be ready to take the next step from leading projects, coaching colleagues or influencing others into your first formal people-management role. Either way, you’ll bring the confidence, curiosity and communication skills to set direction, support development and create an environment where people can do their best work.
As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:
•
Full private healthcare with no excess
•
26 days leave, rising with service + Bank Holidays, with the option to swap Christmas and Easter holidays for those celebrated by your religion
•
A flexible working culture
•
Competitive pension scheme – we double-match your contributions up to 7%
•
Life Assurance at eight times your salary
•
Personal Accident cover – up to 5x your salary
•
Bonus Scheme
•
Lots of great discounts
•
Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle
