The role:
As a Financial Accountant (Compliance & Controls), you will help drive our goals by:
•
Owning statutory and legal financial reporting for the site, including preparation and sign‑off of statutory accounts and financial accounting packs.
•
Delivering accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting, working closely with Plant Management Accountants and Accounting Services to ensure data integrity.
•
Leading monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies and control requirements.
•
Managing external audit and statutory close processes, acting as the primary contact for auditors and third‑party queries.
•
Designing, implementing and monitoring plant‑level financial controls, identifying risks and driving remediation actions where required.
•
Partnering with Sector Finance teams on tax, treasury, accounting policy and wider compliance matters, including ad‑hoc improvement projects.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

Strong technical accounting expertise, Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or equivalent – nice to have)
