About the role
Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta. The Forklift Operator is a critical part of our warehouse team, responsible for shipping, storing, and receiving inventory as well as providing sanitation support for the entire warehouse.
Responsibilities:
•
Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars according to shipping schedule; operate other equipment for shipping, as needed
•
Maintain accurate inventory while storing and loading, practicing first in/first out
•
Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as required
•
Maintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation, performing scheduled cleaning of equipment
•
Re-palletize and rework products, and prepare products for regrind process
•
Maintain safety and quality in a high-paced environment
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
•
Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Experience operating a forklift
•
Experience in a food manufacturing facility
