Team Description
People Systems Administration(PSA) team owns and evolves Coupang’s recruiting and related HR technology ecosystem. Supporting more than 14 platforms, PSA is responsible for system stability, technology adoption, integration architecture, and platform governance across the recruiting landscape. The team works closely with Recruiting, People Operations, Corporate IT, and global technology partners to improve scalability, operational excellence, and business value. Beyond day-to-day operations, PSA is building the foundations for data-driven decision making and future AI-enabled capabilities.
Role Overview
Coupang operates a complex technology ecosystem that connects recruiting platforms, enterprise integrations, data flows, and emerging AI capabilities. As this ecosystem continues to expand, People Systems Administration(PSA) is investing in dedicated leadership for architecture, integration governance, and data strategy. This is not a traditional system administration role. As a Principal-level individual contributor, you will influence technology decisions, define scalable standards, and shape the future direction of Coupang’s recruiting and associated HR technology landscape. Working closely with Recruiting, People Operations, Corporate IT, and global technology partners, you will help build the foundations that enable future growth, automation, and AI-driven innovation.
What You Will Do
•
Own the architecture strategy and integration roadmap for Coupang’s recruiting technology ecosystem.
•
Establish and govern integration architecture standards across recruiting systems, including APIs, webhooks, middleware platforms, and data flows.
•
Lead technical reviews and architectural assessments for platforms such as Greenhouse, Eightfold, BrightHire, and internally developed solutions.
•
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex cross-system incidents, coordinating root cause analysis and resolution across multiple vendors and stakeholders
•
Partner with Corporate IT, Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams to strengthen governance, risk management, and data protection practices across the recruiting technology ecosystem.
•
Develop long-term technology roadmaps, integration strategies, and AI-ready data foundations that improve scalability and maximize the value of existing technology investments
Basic Qualifications
•
Experience influencing technology decisions across multiple stakeholder groups without direct reporting authority.
•
7+ years of experience in IS / HRIS Architecture, Enterprise Integration Engineering, Technical Product Management, or related disciplines.
•
Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, webhooks, middleware platforms, and data modeling principles.
•
Experience with SQL, data analysis, and troubleshooting complex system integrations.
•
Experience supporting business-critical enterprise platforms with complex integration, security, or compliance requirements.
•
Fluent Korean language skills and professional English communication skills capable of collaborating with global stakeholders and technology vendors
•
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience establishing enterprise architecture, integration governance, or technology standards in a multi-vendor SaaS environment.
•
Experience developing HR technology strategies, operating models, or long-term technology roadmaps.
•
Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, information security controls, or compliance frameworks.
•
Experience supporting AI-enabled talent acquisition technologies or AI-readiness initiatives
•
Experience mentoring technical teams and establishing scalable technical standards and governance practices.

This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.

A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.

A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email ([email protected] ). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
4.
In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
5.
The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
