Job Summary:
This role is responsible for all facilities needs in a given region. This position will be responsible for 75 - 125 individual properties. This role will assist in the coordination of projects aligned to the retail division including new stores, remodels, relocations, acquisitions and closing stores. Maintains relationships and coordinates work with facilities vendors on behalf of the retail company owned stores. Must thrive in a challenging and fast paced atmosphere where prioritizing and multi-tasking are the norm. Exceptional attention to detail and first-class organizational skills are mandatory. This role is critical to the overall success of our retail store portfolio to meet and satisfy the needs of our customers.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*:*
•
Supervise maintenance and repair programs for all Retail division facilities.
•
Evaluate vendor diversity selection process and maintain or improve upon current hiring goals.
•
Coordinate contractors and suppliers, including, but not limited to, construction, security, cleaners, landscapers, movers, painters, electricians, and other trades.
•
Oversee facility refurbishment and renovation, to include new stores, remodels and store requirements. Assures security of the facility.
•
Act as the liaison between the facilities department and real estate & construction for seamless new store openings and remodel projects.
•
Responsible for administration of prices and/or contracts with vendors and suppliers, as necessary and verify that payment and invoices match contract pricings.
•
Track and analyze all costs matrix for various materials, equipment and services in search of continued improvements.
•
Set up new bidding opportunities to all competitive contract and vendor selection to improve service, quality and costs.
•
Manages and reviews service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met.
•
Design and seek approval for company-wide new preventative maintenance program for all retail stores.
•
Assist Retail Operations in assembling background information on various projects and potential suppliers.
•
Continually seek opportunities to improve processes and create efficiencies in areas of responsibility.
•
Responds timely and appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise. Including 24 / 7 and weekend availability.
•
Routinely visit retail stores and warehouse properties to work on specific facilities issues and proactively management and train personnel to reduce facilities management expenses in the future.
SCOPE & IMPACT: The person in this position manages a budget of +/- $ 6,000,000, all store level management, MSM’s, HRM’s, IT, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Store Design and Construction, Visuals, Sustainability, 3rd party vendors, material suppliers, landlords, property managers while overseeing supply purchasing for all retail stores (La-Z-Boy & Joybird) within a given region.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, with 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
•
5+ years supervisory/leadership experience.
•
Knowledge of: Contracts, Lease Terms, Legalese. Basic repair terminology and functions for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, Energy Management, LEED certification requirements.
•
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and excellent project management skills. Up to 25% travel.

Weekly Hours:
40Base Compensation Range: $88,900 - $134,400This job is eligible for an annual short-term incentive
