Join our embedded systems team to develop real-time firmware and low-level control software for robotic gloves and hands. You will work on motor control, sensor interfaces, communications, and hardware validation that make responsive robotic hardware possible.
Requirements
•
01Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
•
02Experience programming in Rust; embedded Rust experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals: borrowing, aliasing, async/await, traits, generics, etc.
•
03Understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, DMA, and real-time constraints.
•
04Strong understanding of different synchronization primitives.
•
05Familiarity with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, or other embedded communication protocols.
•
06Comfort debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and serial tools.
•
07(+) Experience with Embassy, RTIC, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar RTOS/async embedded frameworks.
•
08(+) Knowledge of BLDC motor control, FOC, current sensing, or encoder interfaces.
•
09(+) Experience with CANopen CiA 402, EtherCAT, or bootloaders.
•
10(+) Python or C/C++ experience for test automation and integration.
•
11(+) TypeScript + React for GUIs.

01Develop and debug Rust firmware for motor controllers, sensor interfaces, and embedded communications.

02Implement and optimize deterministic control loops, state machines, and calibration workflows.

03Integrate tactile, force, IMU, encoder, and position sensors into real-time embedded systems.

04Build test utilities and diagnostics for board bring-up, manufacturing checks, and hardware-in-the-loop validation.

05Collaborate with EE, mechanical, controls, and AI teams to improve system performance and reliability.
•
