Join our sensing team to develop the electronics and embedded interfaces that turn tactile, force, motion, and position signals into reliable robotic behavior. You will help bring up sensing hardware on an advanced robotic glove and work closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to validate it on real systems.
Requirements
•
01Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
•
02Fundamentals in analog circuits, sensor interfaces, signal conditioning, and ADCs.
•
03Experience with embedded communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, or CAN.
•
04Hands-on comfort with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and bench power supplies.
•
05Software development experience on microcontrollers (e.g. Arduino) and basic familiarity with programming in general.
•
06Strong debugging discipline, clear communication, and interest in working across hardware and firmware.
•
07(+) PCB design experience in Altium.
•
08(+) Experience with low-noise measurement, calibration, or data acquisition systems.
•
09(+) Rust, JavaScript, C/C++, and/or Python experience for embedded or test automation work.
•
10(+) Exposure to capacitive, resistive, optical, strain, or force sensing technologies.
Details & responsibilities
•
01Design and prototype PCBs for tactile, force, IMU, encoder, and position sensors.
•
02Support schematic capture, PCB layout review, bring-up, calibration, and characterization.
•
03Develop firmware, test tools, and scripts for sensor acquisition, synchronization, and data quality checks.
•
04Investigate noise, drift, bandwidth, latency, and cross-talk issues using lab instrumentation and structured experiments.
•
05Collaborate with mechanical and firmware engineers to integrate sensors into constrained robotic assemblies.
•
