The Nebraska Department of Transportation is now hiring winter temporary maintenance workers! Whether you’re looking for temporary work for extra income through the winter months or looking to test out a new position prior to making a long-term commitment, we encourage you to apply! Pay rate of $20.39 to start. Those who possess a current and valid CDL will start at $21.953 and will assist in winter operations and snow removal.
Hiring Locations: Alliance, Bridgeport, Chadron, Chappell, Crawford, Gering, Gordon, Harrison, Kimball, Oshkosh, and Sidney. Winter positions, temporary, until March 31, 2027. Hours may depend on the weather and may be more or less than 40 hours per week.
