Most SDR jobs are about volume. Dial fast, pitch fast, get the meeting. Thatâs not what we do.
Our SDRs run calls that go 15 to 30 minutes, mapping a prospectâs pain, tying it to real business impact, and building a case worth someoneâs hour before an AE ever sees a meeting in their calendar. If a meeting doesnât meet that bar, the AE rejects it and sends it back to the SDR. That feedback loop is what keeps the standards high.
If you want to jumpstart your sales career & actually learn the craft instead of just grinding dials, this is the role.
đ ď¸ What Youâll Do
This is a cold-calling role. The phone is the primary tool, not a fallback after email and LinkedIn havenât worked. Youâll be calling into mid-market and enterprise companies (150-5,000 employees), reaching people who didnât ask to hear from you, and turning those conversations into qualified pipeline. The goal is booking meetings that convert into deals.
â˘
Run qualification calls long enough to understand whatâs actually broken in a prospectâs business
â˘
Build a pain chain: connect the symptom to the root cause to the cost, before handing anything to an AE
â˘
Follow up on accounts that donât pick up â and find a smarter angle when the obvious one doesnât work
â˘
Do enough research before a call that youâre not learning the basics during it
â˘
Keep HubSpot accurate so your pipeline reflects reality, not optimism
â˘
Work closely with your AE so what you hand off actually lands
đ Who you are
You donât need years of sales experience, but you do need some. And you need to take phone conversations seriously, not just be willing to make them.
â˘
Some hands-on experience in sales or outbound customer-facing work
â˘
You pick things up fast and apply feedback, not just acknowledge it
â˘
Youâre comfortable on the phone with strangers and can hold a real conversation without a script to fall back on
â˘
Fluent German, functional English
â˘
You know where you want to go (AE, commercial, whatever it is), and youâre honest about it
𤊠Whatâs different here
You wonât be measured on dial counts. If youâre good, you wonât need 150 calls a day to hit your number. What you will be measured on is whether the meetings you book actually progress, and youâll know pretty quickly when they donât.
Youâll also deal with accounts that have been approached before, contacts whoâve heard the pitch, and gatekeepers whoâve mastered the brush-off. Persistence here doesnât mean calling 50 more times. It means finding a different angle, a better entry point, a reason for them to pick up.
