Job Description – Mechanical Design Engineer II
Process Automation VE/CE COE
Join the industry leader to drive value engineering, cost reduction and productivity for Process Automation products.
Be part of the Process Automation Value Engineering and Component Engineering Center of Excellence team. In this role, you will work with global product engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality and ISC teams to find practical cost reduction ideas and convert them into savings projects. The focus is to reduce product cost, improve manufacturability, support supply continuity and protect product quality, reliability, certification and customer requirements.
The engineer will support both VE NPI and sustaining business through value design optimization, alternate source qualification, component standardization, localization, supplier changes and manufacturing improvement projects across the Process Automation product portfolio.
Responsibilities
Your role will include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end-to-end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to Support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success.
Role Purpose
