Key Areas of Responsibilities
•
Build ECM pipeline focused on 3 key products:
•
Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs):
•
Leverage existing relationships
•
Incorporate research views
•
Demonstrate ability to sell deals
•
Block Deals:
•
Use PE and promoter relationships to identify opportunities
•
Work with IE (Institutional Equities) to pitch, win, and execute mandates
•
IPOs:
•
Collaborate with IB and sector bankers to target companies planning to list in 1–3 years
•
Target: Assist in 10 IPO pitches
•
Leverage existing relationships to win CLSA mandates:
•
Partner with sector teams and IE to build sector + product credibility with clients
•
Add existing relationships to CLSA’s client base
•
Target: Build relationships with at least 10 new clients
•
Collaborate with sector teams to pitch for deals:
•
Work on pitch presentation books – focus on markets/investors section
•
Provide client assurance on CLSA’s placement capabilities
•
Discuss key investors and investor sentiment during pitches
•
Cover aspects including:
•
Marketing the deal to investors
•
Regulatory process
•
Marketing CLSA Research
•
Corporate Access
•
Target: Participate in at least 15 ECM pitches with bankers
•
Oversee end-to-end transaction execution after mandate win:
•
Act as single point of contact for client and internal team
•
Handle:
•
Documentation
•
Agreements
•
Roadshows
•
Syndication
•
Target: Lead all ECM-related execution and syndicate work on live mandates
•
Maintain investor relationships:
•
Build and sustain relationships with ECM desks of large funds and select domestic investors
•
Target: Develop and maintain relationships with at least 10 ECM desks
•
Work seamlessly with IB and IE teams:
•
Act as a mentor to junior execution staff
Requirements
•
Master’s degree or above in any discipline
•
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in investment Banking domain
•
Extensive knowledge of Indian market, project management and client serving.
•
In-depth understanding of Indian Market
•
Strong analytical and quantitative, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking skills, able to work independently, attention to details, result-driven/ self-motivated, self-starter
•
Excellent command of English language, fluent in both spoken and written
