• Own creative direction. Set the visual territory for campaigns: define the creative concept, art direction, and design system that a campaign lives within, and ensure every asset produced against it holds together.
• Direct from the brief. Interpret Orbit’s pre-populated briefs and translate business objectives into clear, on-brand, commercially accountable creative, validating and adjusting the brief where creative judgment is required.
• Develop and maintain design systems, brand kits, templates, and component libraries (Canva brand kits, Figma modular systems, Affinity/InDesign editorial templates) so downstream production scales without drifting off-brand.
Hands-On Design & Production Craft
• Make the work. Produce and direct client-ready design across digital and print: brand campaigns, HTML email, IAB display, social static and carousels, sales and marketing decks, landing pages, and long-form
editorial (white papers, reports).
• Lead typography. Own human-led typography: type hierarchy, scale, tracking, and legibility across render contexts (email preview panes, the full IAB size cascade, mobile feed, print). Typography is brand defining and stays under human control.
• Direct and refine AI output. Direct AI image generation and correct it. Run Adobe Firefly (and Firefly Custom Models for on-brand consistency), then use Photoshop Generative Fill / Generative Expand and Illustrator Generative Vector to fix AI-tells, remove hallucinated elements, integrate brand environments, and reframe compositions.
• Own quality. Apply an AI-tells checklist and a brand-adherence review to every asset before release: composition, spatial hierarchy, color fidelity, type integrity, and production readiness.
Client Partnership & Stakeholder Management
• Present and defend the work. Serve as a creative point of contact for assigned accounts: present work, walk stakeholders through creative rationale, and manage revision cycles with professionalism.
• Engage senior stakeholders. Communicate confidently with senior client contacts, including VP- and Csuite-level marketing and brand stakeholders, on creative direction and executional decisions.
• Balance strict brand-standards compliance with creative ambition, working within guardrails without producing generic output.
