* Accurate maintenance of laboratory records, including proficiency testing, quality control, equipment maintenance, monitoring and calibration, patient test and clinical procedure records, deviations from established performance specifications and corrective actions taken.
* Identify problems which may adversely affect patient test or procedure results, and either rectify the problem or report it to the laboratory director, scientific advisor or laboratory supervisor; Solves problems using available reference material when necessary.
* Maintains neat, legible and complete written records of work performed and performs additional record keeping or data analysis as required or requested.
* Performance of routine laboratory maintenance; ordering and stocking laboratory supplies.
* Performs embryology and andrology related procedures - media preparation, ovum pick up by harvest procedure, maintaining cell cultures, insemination, testicular aspiration or biopsy procedures, fertilization checks, blastocyst culture, transfer of embryos by catheter, cryopreservation and thawing of human embryos, assisted hatching and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
* Responsible for compiling accurate data for CDC/SART reporting.
* Responsible for performing all aspects of in vitro fertilization procedures. Performance of all the duties required in the REI/IVF laboratories.
* Strict adherence to all established safety regulations as outlined in the Universal Precautions/Infection Control.
