We are proud of our strong multicultural tradition where students value diversity and inclusivity. We have adopted the four core values of care, respect, participation and excellence.
Our school community has high expectations for student academic performance supported through quality teaching. We have implemented effective literacy and numeracy initiatives and offer a broad range of academic courses, VET frameworks, SBAT and TAFE options. High potential and gifted students learn in our self-select classes and a differentiated curriculum caters for all learners.
We have a comprehensive student leadership and wellbeing program which includes strong links with partner primary schools. The Positive Behaviour for Success program is embodied in the Hoxton Honour Code. Our Strategic Improvement Plan focuses on student growth and attainment, high potential students and high potential leaders.
HPHS and its Support Unit’s staff are committed to providing our students with a safe and caring environment where positive relationships are fostered by all members of the school community. The school’s Hoxton Honour Code and its values – safe, respectful and an active learner are embedded in daily operations of the unit.
We believe in equity and access for students of all abilities and in creating an inclusive educational environment with a sense of belonging. Students in our Support Unit are valued and respected members of school. They are provided with a platform for whole school participation and an opportunity to celebrate success through achievement of personalised milestones.
