Summary
AI is reshaping how software gets built, and we’re moving fast to make it a standard part of engineering at scale. With an estate of more than 3,000 repositories, we have one of the largest and most interesting AI enablement challenges in the industry — and we’re looking for the person who wants to own it.
Job description
This role is about turning AI from promise into measurable impact. You’ll build the configurations, tooling, and patterns that let delivery teams plug AI directly into their day-to-day work, and you’ll lead the mentoring classes and educational sessions that spread that capability across the organization.
If you’re a senior engineer who loves both deep technical work and helping teams adopt AI confidently, this is a rare chance to shape how thousands of engineers work every day.
What you will do
•
Configure repositories for AI — design, build, and roll out repeatable configurations (rules, instructions, context files, MCP/tool integrations, CI hooks) across a large and diverse repository estate.
•
Develop internal AI-powered apps for software engineering — build practical tools, assistants, dashboards, and workflow integrations that help engineering teams use AI safely and effectively in daily development, testing, code review, documentation, and repository maintenance.
•
Deliver end-to-end solutions, not advice — prepare functional, production-ready setups that teams can adopt without rebuilding them from scratch.
•
Scale enablement — replace repetitive tasks with automation, build self-service tooling, and reusable playbooks so hundreds of teams can be onboarded without proportional effort.
•
Lead mentoring classes and educational sessions — run workshops, internal talks, demos, and hands-on clinics for engineering audiences of all seniority levels.
•
Partner with delivery teams — work inside PI constraints, unblock adoption, and tailor solutions to each team’s stack and workflow.
•
Measure and report impact — define adoption and productivity metrics, track progress, and report results to engineering leadership.
•
Act as the internal AI advocate — stay ahead of tooling developments, evaluate new capabilities, and set standards and best practices for AI usage in engineering.
