This position is a 100% “working in office” position.
This is advanced, specialized work in the Income Tax Group within the Department of Revenue involved with analyzing tax returns for complete accurate information.
Communicates with all levels of staff including management to resolve tax issues. Expert in specific tax categories, provide technological and procedural assistance to resolve complex tax issues. Collaborates regarding complex tax situations involving statutes, regulations, and other policy matters. Ensure returns are processed efficiently, accurately, and timely. Updates and writes procedures as needed. Provides institutional knowledge and system change suggestions required to implement and support multiple tax programs. Receive and provide written and verbal communication to resolve taxpayer filings.
Responsibilities
Job Duties include:
1.
The Revenue Senior Agent resolves complex issues that cannot be resolved by teammates and answers complex processing questions from management and staff within the agency regarding tax programs, This includes written correspondence and phone calls with taxpayers, accountants, attorneys, and other authorized representatlves.

Continual monitoring of teammates’ daily work performance and providing input to supervisors for initial probation and performance evaluations.
3.
Identifies internal programming and software issues and resolves with IT staff.

Extensive one on one training of teammates.
