Backend Web Application Engineer
Role description
The backend engineer maintains and extends the Laravel application behind SynAIpse: EHR integrations, the deterministic coding rule engine, and the data pipelines that feed our machine learning systems.
You work alongside the founders, working across EHR integrations including eClinicalWorks, Epic, and athenahealth and shaping the architecture as we expand to new specialties.
What you will do
•
Extend our Laravel application to support EHR integrations (eClinicalWorks, Epic, athenahealth), extending via HL7v2, FHIR, and Cloud Fax.
•
Iterate on our deterministic coding rule engine, including NCCI edits and payer-specific requirements.
•
Build a self-service onboarding flow so new practices can provision their own integrations without us doing it manually.
•
Build the data labeling interfaces and pipelines that turn coder and user input into training data for our models.
•
Implement services that meet HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST standards.
