Giga Energy | Supply Chain

About Giga
Giga Energy develops and builds AI data centers, bringing equipment manufacturing, engineering, construction, and real estate development together. Our integrated approach connects financing with the equipment, power, and construction that bring each project into operation.
The role
We’re hiring a Customs Declaration Logistics Specialist in Supply Chain to own customs declarations for all goods coming into Giga. You take responsibility for inbound customs from the first shipment, so that each entry is accurate, complete, and filed on time.
Day to day, you prepare and review entries in the CBP ACE portal and check commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading against each filing. You correct discrepancies before and after submission, set and maintain HTS classifications for imported products, and track duty and tariff spend. You also manage and audit third-party customs brokers, and you coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to clear shipments and resolve holds or exams. When classification, ruling, protest, or compliance questions arise, you work with international trade lawyers.
The work sits in Supply Chain and covers the full inbound customs process for Giga.
What you’ll own
•
Customs entries. Prepare, review, and submit declarations for all inbound shipments, with each entry accurate, complete, and on time.
•
ACE filings. Submit and track entries in the CBP ACE portal, pull reports, and resolve discrepancies until each entry is closed.
•
Shipping documents. Review and create commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and broker filings before and after submission.
•
HTS classifications. Determine and maintain correct HTS classifications for every imported product.
•
Broker management. Manage and audit third-party customs brokers against your entry records.
•
Duty and tariff spend. Track duty and tariff spend and identify cost reductions through exclusions, drawback, free trade agreements, or other programs.
•
Trade policy changes. Monitor tariff and trade policy changes and flag how each change affects Giga’s imports.
•
Audit-ready records. Keep customs records organized and ready for audit.
Requirements
•
At least 5 years of experience in customs, import compliance, or logistics coordination.
•

Working knowledge of HTS classification, customs valuation, and country-of-origin rules, applied to real entries.
•
A record of handling high shipment volumes with accurate entries under deadlines.
•
Clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and legal counsel, in writing and in conversation.
In your application, describe the entries you filed, the classifications you maintained, and the shipment volumes you handled. Give specific examples from your own work.
Useful additional experience
•
Licensed U.S. Customs Broker.
•
Experience importing electrical, industrial, or heavy equipment.
•
Familiarity with Section 232 and 301 tariffs, AD/CVD, and duty drawback.
