We’re Hiring: Technical Project Manager – E-commerce & SEO
📍 Remote | 🕒 Full-time (40 hrs/week) | 💵 USD 3,000/month
We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to own our e-commerce platforms and SEO end to end. You’ll be the single point of contact between our business teams and our external partners: the e-commerce development agency and several SEO contractors. You’ll turn business needs into clear requirements, hold partners accountable for quality and timelines, and keep our online stores running smoothly.
This is a management role, not a programming role. You’ll need deep knowledge of Magento, Shopify and SEO tools, but you won’t write code.
What you’ll do
•
Lead our development partner on Magento and Shopify: write briefs and user stories, prioritize the backlog, approve quotes, coordinate UAT and sign off releases.
•
Oversee our SEO contractors on technical, on-page and off-page SEO. Review their reports, track KPIs and turn SEO fixes into development tickets.
•
Work with the Catalog Manager so that product data, launches and promotions go live correctly on both stores.
•
Monitor store performance, site speed and uptime, and manage incidents when systems go down.
•
Plan and track projects (scope, timeline, budget and risks), run status meetings and report to management.
•
Make decisions on priorities, budgets and solutions, escalating only major items.
What you bring
•
5+ years managing Magento (Adobe Commerce) and Shopify stores and projects
•
Strong SEO knowledge, plus experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or SEMrush
•
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, ClickUp and HubSpot
•
Proven experience managing several agencies, contractors or vendors at the same time
•
Strong project management, analytical and decision-making skills
•
Excellent spoken and written English
•
Organized, proactive and comfortable working with little supervision
Good to know: As an independent contractor, you’re responsible for your own taxes, equipment and internet connection. Invoices are submitted monthly.
