About the role

Conagra Brands in Darien, WI a local supplier of Birds Eye products, is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Production Specialist role in the production department for B shift. Reporting to Production Supervisors, you will work on-site at one of Conagra’s largest manufacturing facilities with over 800 employees.
As a Production Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by ensuring product quality, packaging compliance, and adherence to safety and food handling standards. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop a working knowledge of production schedules and learn to read and follow schedule instructions.
•
Form and assemble cases to meet production requirements and specifications.
•
Monitor auto-filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code, and label accuracy.
•
Report deviations from product requirements to operators or supervisors. Ensure cases enter the case sealer correctly.
•
Visually inspect products and ingredients for blemishes, flaws, extraneous material, or discoloration.
•
Stop production and report any serious deviation from requirements or equipment malfunction.
•
Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
•
Assist operators with start-up, production, changeover, and shutdown activities.
•
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
