About the role
A Day in Your Life at MKS: We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, sustaining engineering, and documentation of advanced MKS products. In this role, you will report to the Bangalore Engineering Manager. You Will Make an Impact By: • Design, develop, document, build, and test vacuum, flow, plasma and pressure and related mechanical products. • Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, bills of material, test plans, reports, and change orders. • Create and maintain detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Creo. • Apply effective Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) methodologies to ensure product functionality, manufacturability, and quality • Support product verification activities including prototype builds, testing, data analysis, root-cause investigations, and design improvements. • Independently manage engineering assignments while collaborating effectively with global cross-functional teams. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: • Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods. • Ability to use laboratory equipment and occasionally lift and move electronic equipment or test fixtures up to 25 pounds. • Work is performed in office and engineering laboratory environments. • Regular use of electronic test equipment and prototype hardware for product development, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
